Clicking onto this + button opens a small dialogue in which you insert the name of your new preset, eg Faux Infrared.

Locate the CUSTOM tab of the Preset Library in the panel on the left of SEP2’s interface, and click onto its + button – if you hover your mouse over this button, you will see the message Create a new custom preset based off of the state of the current photo.
